“We know Southport is a place where Ukip in the past has come a number of close seconds.”
UKIP Leader Nigel Farage is to be the headline speaker at the party’s North West conference Saturday 8th November 2014.
He is one of various high profile speakers who will be addressing the one day event at the The Floral Hall on The Promenade in Southport on Saturday, November 8.
“When we held a national conference in the town in 2009 we had a large turnout and although this is a regional event we expect up to 1,000 people to attend,” said Phil Griffiths, North West president.
“The lively agenda also includes our three local UKIP MEPs, Paul Nuttall, who is deputy leader, Louise Bours and Steven Woolfe. They all hold important portfolios, Education, Health and Immigration, respectively, and Steven Woolfe is also the party’s spokesman for Financial Affairs.
“Tickets are going like hot cakes but currently we still have availability so anyone interested in coming along to the conference should contact 0151 375 9660,” said Mr Griffiths.
Tickets for the day, which include raffle entry, are £15 and a limited number are also still available for a buffet lunch in the company of Nigel Farage, also costing £15 each.

Ukip’s Parliamentary candidate for Southport, Terry Durrance, who will be speaking at the conference, said his party were targeting more than 130 seats across the country in their general election campaign.
