Inside Liverpool One's Ice Bar as the Ice Festival returns to the city

Christmas is right around the corner which means Liverpool One's Ice Festival is back in the city.

With Hollyoaks' Jennifer Metcalfe launching the Ice Bar from Friday 7th November, the Ice Bar, Ice Rink and Ice Slide will all be available until 4th January 2015.

Liverpool One's Ice Skating Rink is open from 11am-9pm, with the last skate at 8pm from Sunday-Thursday.

On Friday and Saturday's, you can pull on some skates from 11am-10om with the last skate at 9pm.

After you've either worn yourself out on the ice rink, or you need warming up, the Apres bar is on hand.

The cosy and inviting space is filled with plush arm chairs and comfy sofas, and pretend log fires to really get you in the mood for the festive season.

Serving mulled wine (£4.50), to cocktails such as the Rusty Apple Toddy (£4.50) made from drambuie liqueur, a blend of malt whisky, honey, herbs and spices, and the On the Piste (£6.50) a vanilla and citrus liqueur with whiskey shaken through fresh apple juice and a dash of cinnamon, there's sure to be something to suit all.

Wine, beer, spirits, champagne, hot drinks and soft drinks are also available.

And if you work up an appetite, the Grilled Cheese toasties (all £4) will go down a treat. From Philly Cheeze made from roast beef, mozzarella, green peppers and red onion, to the Paris Stilton, made up of blue cheese, beef and walnuts, you'll be spoilt for choice.

After you're done baking in the warm Apres bar, you might want to try the Ice Bar.

Kitted out with it's very own bar and a huge throne, go along and see if you can bare it, you even get a free foil poncho and a drink.

Up until 11th December, for a 25 minute session which starts at every half hour, you can visit the bar from 11am-9.30pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 11am-10.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

But from 12th December to 4th January, the bar is open later, and you can visit Monday to Saturday from 11am-10.30pm.

And finally, for more fun the Ice Slide will be open for big and little kids alike.

From Sunday-Thursday the slide will be open from 11am-9pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am-10pm.
