A woman was killed this afternoon at the Fishermans Path Crossing after being struck by a train trying to rescue her dog off the track. BTP have said there are no suspicious circumstances.The young woman has been named as Yasmin Jones from Glastonbury in Somerset. The accident occurred around 3pm. Yasmin is understood to have chased after a dog she was walking wriggled beneath the metal gates at a "high risk" Fishermans crossing in Freshfield. Rail chiefs are expected to close the crossing in the near future after it emerged trains only become visible 8 seconds before they pass.
