Firefighters Called To Electricity Cable That Had Fallen in North Moss Lane.....

Firefighters were called out after an overhead electricity cable had fallen to the ground and caught fire in Formby. Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended the incident on North Moss Lane just before 9.30am. Firefighters cordoned off the surrounding area and contacted Scottish Power who isolated the power supply. The fire did not spread to any properties and there were no reports that anyone was injured in the incident. A fire appliance from Formby Community Fire Station was called out. Firefighters were there until around 11am.
